Tut Exhibit Expert Educates and Entertains
Canopic
stopper from King Tut's tomb
The famous King Tut exhibit is currently at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. It is called Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs and it features over 130 artifacts spanning 2000 years of ancient Egyptian history. Fifty of these objects come from the tomb of King Tut.
And although excellent in its presentation, the exhibit is heavy in written content. To read every description and label while battling potential crowds could easily take over two hours to accomplish...an experience that few adults, and even fewer children, are likely to do without feeling impatient or overwhelmed.
However, there is a solution. Awesometalks© offers The King Tutorial: Getting the Most Out of the King Tut Touring Exhibit. This lively and educational 60-minute presentation breaks down the content into easy-to-understand, 'bite size' pieces giving educators and students a good foundation to get the most out of their visit to the exhibition.
And what better way to get the inside scoop about this exhibit than from someone who knows it intimately. Mr. Barry Cauchon, the original Senior Project Manager for the 2005 blockbuster exhibit Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, will act as your host for this educational and light-hearted program. Mr. Cauchon has a wealth of knowledge on this topic and an infectious enthusiasm that students and audiences respond to.
From now until April, 2010, Mr. Cauchon will be presenting The King Tutorial to schools, associations and other interested groups.
